Lauren Fournier, MSW, LMSW

Lauren Fournier began her social work career at New Oakland more than 12 years ago and has since held a variety of vital roles, including positions in outpatient care, partial hospitalization, and crisis stabilization. Her diverse experience has given her a deep understanding of the complex challenges faced by individuals and families navigating the mental health system. With a strong commitment to equity and access, Lauren has been instrumental in expanding New Oakland’s presence and partnerships within Macomb County Community Mental Health. Her work is driven by a passion for serving the most vulnerable and underserved populations, ensuring they receive not just care—but the dignity, support, and resources they deserve. Lauren’s steady leadership and tireless advocacy have made a lasting impact in enhancing services for individuals facing mental health crises, and her compassionate approach continues to inspire those around her, both within New Oakland and in the broader mental health community.
