Christina Polk, MA, LPC, ACS

Director, Clinical Resources

Christina Polk has worked in Michigan’s mental health community as a therapist, leader and community resource for more than 15 years. Her special aptitude for managing real-time response to families, schools, hospitals and agencies assisting with clients in mental health emergencies has taught her the most important lesson of crisis care: early intervention is key to healing and saves lives. She began her career and training in crisis care as part of the New Oakland FACE to FACE Partial Hospital Program team (PHP) and has played a critical role in expanding New Oakland’s 24/7 call center into a network of highly trained specialists dedicated to connecting clients to the right care at the right time. Christina continues to focus on making mental health access and care a priority for all families, regardless of region, insurance or diagnosis, and is a fierce advocate for continuing to do everything she can to end the stigma that surrounds it.
