A Bus Monitor is Bullied, and America Reacts

The world watched in distressed awe last week as 4 middle school boys perpetrated a vicious verbal attack on 68-year-old grandmother and school bus monitor Karen Klein.  Hadn’t one of the perpetrators recorded the 10-minute hazing on a smart phone, the shocking insult level and barrage of ridicule heaped on this innocent, unsuspecting woman and the subsequent outpouring of sympathy for her never would never have come to light.

Imagine that: Bullies perpetrate an assault and record it to later revel in their lack of humanity at the risk of providing damning evidence of the crime. This how out of control; this is how ugly America has become. The weak are ours to berate and bully at a whim. Continue reading
