Nothing “Synthetic” about Real and Deadly Drugs

Life alone doesn’t always appear to be enough. Innately, we seek a “buzz” and even the supposedly “safe” stuff, like alcohol, can be a deadly killer when misused in a particular situation or abused over time. A prominent Detroit media executive recently committed suicide allegedly from a combination of Chantix, an anti-nicotine drug, and Lunesta, a sleeping aid. TV commercials hype a number of prescription drugs with the disclaimer, “… may cause suicide thoughts or actions.” In other words, if you take this, you may not only think about suicide, but you might also do it.
