Kevin Sendi, JD, MBA
Mr. Sendi currently serves as the Executive Vice-President in Charge of Operations for all New Oakland facilities. As operations manager, Kevin has been successful in the growth and development of the FACE to FACE 24 Hour Crisis Stabilization and Psychiatric Partial Hospital Program. In addition to expanding the clinic’s operations into the tri-county area, Kevin has also successfully obtained psychiatric partial hospital state licensing and crisis stabilization licensing for the FACE to FACE program from the state of Michigan. His current responsibilities include co-designing and implementing Business Planning, increasing the Company’s market share, supervision of the administrative staff, fostering the development of managers, quality control, and full responsibilities over financial management. Kevin received his joint degree in law and business from Wayne State University with his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Michigan State University.
Martha Adair, MA, LLP
Clinical Director Oakland County and Genesee County
Ms. Adair currently serves as the Clinical Director for New Oakland—Oakland County Sites. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing all clinical operations for New Oakland—Oakland County sites. Martha received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit. She has worked in various psychiatric inpatient, outpatient and day treatment settings. Martha also has an extensive background in managed care clinical operations, as she was previously Clinical Operations Manager of Value Options Managed Care System.
Director, Administrative Services
Ms. Baskel currently serves as the Human Resource Administrator for all New Oakland Facilities. Her primary responsibility is the health and welfare of the all personnel at New Oakland. In addition, she is responsible for the Company’s full compliance with state agencies such as the Department of Labor and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Additionally, Ms. Baskel provides full administrative support to the President and Executive Vice-President in Charge of Operations. Pamela has worked for nearly 15 years in the mental health field and brings with her a wealth of human resource knowledge and experience.
Kathy Chen, PsyD, LP
Director of Clinical Programming
Dr. Chen is Director of Clinical Programming, responsible for development, refinement and implementation of new clinical services on the New Oakland continuum of care. Prior to joining New Oakland, Dr. Chen has served in a number of roles developing her expertise as one of the leading experts in eating disorder treatment and therapy in the Midwest with a wide variety of teaching experience and published research in the field. She is a graduate of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Chicago, Illinois) and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Lisa Kalinski, MA, LPC
Clinical Director, Wayne County and Ingham County
Ms. Kalinski currently serves as the Clinical Director for New Oakland — Wayne County. Her primary responsibilities include managing the day to day operations of the Outpatient and FACE to FACE Programs at the Livonia Center. Additionally, Mrs. Kalinski provides full clinical support and supervision overseeing all outpatient clinicians at the Livonia Center. Lisa received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Oakland University. Prior to joining New Oakland, Lisa has worked nearly a decade in the mental health field serving as a clinician in various outpatient treatment settings. Over the past several years, Lisa has also served as a primary FACE to FACE therapist at the Livonia Center prior to Directorship appointment.
Chief Marketing Officer
Greg leads communications, community outreach and business development for New Oakland. He has more than 25 years’ experience building and implementing programs designed to strengthen the relationships between organizations and their clients and communities. During his career, Greg has managed relationships with a wide variety of healthcare organizations seeking to grow their profiles, develop reputation, strengthen their community presence, establish stronger corporate citizenship and adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare landscape. He is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University.
Kimberly Smith, LMSW, CRCC
Clinical Director, Macomb County
Ms. Smith currently serves as the Clinical Director for New Oakland—Oakland County Sites as well serves as the Director of Pharmaceutical Research for all New Oakland facilities. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing all clinical operations for New Oakland—Macomb County Sites. Additionally, as Director of Pharmaceutical Research, Mrs. Smith oversees overall management of the Pharmaceutical Research division of New Oakland. Additionally, Ms. Smith acts as the New Oakland Privacy Officer and also heads up the office of Recipient Rights. Kimberly received her Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University. Kimberly has worked over 20 years in the mental health field and has coordinated countless adult and pediatric CNS clinical trials for a number of pharmaceutical companies and has been for the last ten years.
Robert Wallach, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Robert is the Director of Finance for New Oakland Family Centers. He is responsible for overall financial management of the company, its financial reporting and transparency, and for multiple corporate functions including Controller, Treasury, Investor Relations, Tax and long-range planning. Robert has acted as the lead CPA/Financial Analyst for New Oakland for over 25 years, and is very familiar with all New Oakland business operations and financial management expectations. Robert has over 35 years’ experience as an Accountant and Financial Advisor, functioning as an off-site CFO for his many clients in industries such as Medicine, Manufacturing, Printing, Distribution and Retail Sales. Robert is a member of numerous Associations including the Michigan Association of CPAs.
Laney Jakstys, BA, MS
Director, Business Development
Ms.Jakstys currently oversees marketing and business development. Her primary responsibility is developing and maintaining community partnerships and collaborations with industry professionals and organizations. She has worked in behavioral health for the past two decades. Laney has over 35 years of marketing, outreach and business development experience, as well as operations and business management. She has held leadership positions with nationally recognized organizations, such as Henry Ford Health System, Ascension Health and Elements Behavioral Health. Laney received her BA in Journalism and Public Relations from Temple University and completed masters-level coursework in Administration at Central Michigan University.
Kelly Brinkmann, MA, LPC
Ms. Brinkmann currently serves as the Clinical & Administrative Supervisor for the Clinton Township Center. Her primary responsibilities include managing the day to day operations of the Clinton Township Center. Additionally, Ms. Brinkmann provides full clinical support and supervision overseeing all outpatient clinicians at the Clinton Township Center. Kelly received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Oakland University. Prior to becoming the Clinton Township Center Supervisor, Kelly has worked in various roles throughout New Oakland. Most recently, Kelly served as a primary FACE to FACE therapist at the Livonia Center prior to her Supervisory appointment.
Lauren Fournier, LMSW
Clinical Supervisor, Center Line Center
Ms. Fournier currently serves as the Clinical & Administrative Supervisor for New Oakland’s Center Line location. Her primary responsibilities include managing the day to day operations of the Center Line location. Additionally, Ms. Fournier provides full clinical support and supervision overseeing all outpatient clinicians at the Center Line location. Lauren received her Master of Social Work from the Wayne State University in Detroit. Prior to becoming the Center Line Supervisor, Lauren worked in various roles throughout New Oakland. Most recently, Lauren served as an outpatient therapist at the Center Line Center prior to her Supervisory appointment.
Amber Kozlowske, LMSW
Clinical Supervisor, Warren Center
Ms. Kozlowske currently serves as Clinical Supervisor at New Oakland’s Warren Center. Prior to her supervisory position, Amber has been instrumental in the effectiveness and growth of New Oakland’s Mobile Intensive Crisis Stabilization capability. Prior to joining New Oakland in 2013, Amber was a clinician with Neighborhood Service Organization in Detroit, where she served as an intake clinician and hospital liaison. She is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University and received her Master’s of Social Work degree from Wayne State University.
Katherine Parker, LPC
Clinical Training Coordinator
Ms. Parker currently serves as the Clinical Training Coordinator for all New Oakland locations. Her primary responsibilities include the development and implementation of staff training. Additionally, Mrs. Parker works closely with all Site Directors, Supervisors, Physicians and the Quality Assurance Manager to help support the training process. Katie received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Oakland University. Prior to joining New Oakland, Katie worked for nearly 10 years in various outpatient treatment settings. Katie has also served as an outpatient therapist at the Center Line Center
Christina Polk, MA, LPC
Director, Clinical Resources
Ms. Polk currently serves as the Director of Clinical Resources. Her responsibilities involve processes and oversight to assure the highest possible quality and care path decisions review for New Oakland consumers at the moment of their first intake phone call and throughout their New Oakland experience. Christina received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Oakland University. Prior to becoming the Director of Clinical Resources, Christina has worked in various roles throughout New Oakland, most recently, as a Clinical Supervisor at the Warren Center prior to her Director appointment.
Amelia Jackson, LMSW
Supervisor, Intensive Crisis Stabilization Services
Amelia Jackson currently serves as the Clinical Supervisor of the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Program. Her primary responsibility includes managing the day to day clinical and administrative operations of the ICS Program. Additionally, Ms. Jackson provides clinical support and oversees the daily functions of New Oakland’s Crisis Stabilization Program. Amelia received her Master in Social Work from Wayne State University. Prior to becoming the Crisis Stabilization Supervisor, Amelia worked as part of New Oakland’s Wayne County FACE to FACE program team as well as providing clinical outpatient therapy services. Amelia has also served as the lead clinical therapist on the Crisis Stabilization Team prior to being promoted to her supervisory role.
Julia Schiappacasse, MPA
Director, Human Resources
Ms. Schiappacasse currently serves as the Assistant Director/Human Resources for all New Oakland locations. Her primary responsibilities include conducting primary interviews and maintaining organizational and provider contracting and credentialing. In addition, Ms. Schiappacasse works closely with all clinical and administrative staff as well as the Clinical Training Coordinator and the Quality Manager. Ms. Schiappacasse has over a decade of experience in the Health Care field. Prior to becoming the Human Resources/Credentialing Coordinator, she held the positions of Senior Billing Coordinator and Quality Manager at New Oakland.
Robin Sharabani, LMSW
Director, Quality and Compliance
Ms. Sharabani currently serves as the Quality Manager for all New Oakland locations. Her primary responsibility is to assure ongoing excellence in the quality and safety of the care and service we deliver to our consumers. Additionally, Mrs. Sharabani works closely with all clinical and administrative staff as well as the Clinical Training Coordinator and the Human Resources Credentialing Coordinator. She received her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University and is a Licensed Masters Social Worker. Ms. Sharabani has over a fifteen of experience in the behavioral health care field. Prior to her appointment as Quality Manager, Robin worked as both a Senior FACE to FACE and Outpatient Clinician at New Oakland.
